This vintage nest of tables is quite alike other set of shabby chic furniture with print transfer we did in a past, just click at our Vintage Shabby Chic Nest of Tables No. 11 to compare.

We were lucky enough to be commissioned by an overseas customer for a shabby chic makeover of nesing tables in a style of our Nest no. 11 , with Graphics Fairy’s ‘Vins & Spiritueux’ vintage advert.

Then we were incredibly lucky to find a similar nest two days later, for literary next to nothing. Read More

Queen Anne style Vintage Shabby Chic Nest of Tables

Here you can see another Vintage Shabby Chic Nesto of Tables. This one we decided to make in our classical style using Annie Sloan’s paints and sanding paper.

You could see this Nest previously in our Waiting Room, now the pictures of this piece before our work are attached at the bottom of this page.

For printing on each of table top we have used our own design of Haute Couture – French vintage-like advert. We used a water decal technique to transfer the print (you can see how to make it in our tutorial on transferring the print onto furniture or wood)

Vintage Shabby Chic Nest of Tables no. 12

Once more – Vintage Shabby Chic Nest of Tables with a French Advert on the top.

These curvy beauties were painted with Annie Sloan’s ‘Duck Egg Blue’ chalk paint.

To achieve even more shabby chic look, we printed a vintage French advert on the top. It is the ad of some sort of parfumes (toilet water). It has been made using stencil method with Annie Sloan’s ‘Old White’ paint.

This Nest is to match perfectly with this Shabby Chic Bureau, we made recently.

Shabby Chic Nests of Tables No. 1 & 4 – comparison

shabby-chic-nest-tables-compare01

We are in love with Shabby Chic style for a long, long time. Since we started we were experimenting with many techniques – changing, amending them – trying to find our way. Sometimes we failed, but usually we succeeded.

Here is an example. Two nests of tables, with flat tops. We wanted to achieve an effect of artistic distress. To do it we painted them with two colours of chalk paint, and sanded afterward – what created very interesting texture, unrepeatable on each of them. Playing with a brush, we made a bold texture on first nest, and flat on another one.

If you like this Shabby Chic Nest of Tables, and would like to know details about this method – let us know (use a comment form below the post) or if you like design of the print transfer you have opportunity to buy it in a form of water decal, check on our Water Decal Vintage French Advert .
